Parent and Child Star Gazing Evening 2024

Last night’s sold-out Parent and Child Stargazing Evening event was a success. The 4 planetarium shows were highly regarded by both parents and their children. The children made foam and straw model rockets to take home. Parents and children were really engaged with the quizzes, with some displaying a competitive spirit.

The moon made a brief appearance, and some lucky attendees were able to view it through our new binoculars. However, persistent clouds prevented us from using our stargazing telescopes.

Lilia (8) said, “I loved looking at the moon but was a little frightened of the dome.” Liam (6) said, “I loved the dome, but also liked making and shooting the rockets.” All the children went home with a space goodie bag.
